Equiom, the international professional services provider has continued to expand its tax and VAT business, Equiom Solutions Limited, with the appointment of two new tax consultants. Jenny Akrigg has been appointed as Senior Tax Consultant and Sue Billinghurst takes the position of Tax Consultant. The appointments come as Equiom Solutions experiences a period of continued growth.
Jenny brings almost nine years of experience in the sector having worked at one of the Big Four accountancy firms prior to joining Equiom Solutions. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Tax Advisor as well as an active member of the Isle of Man Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) Committee and the Isle of Man Tax Forum. At Equiom, she will be responsible for providing tax advice to Isle of Man and UK individuals and companies, focusing on inheritance tax and trust planning for UK resident, non-UK domiciled individuals and providing support in respect of international developments including the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
As a former Corporate Tax Manager and Audit Support Manager, Sue Billinghurst has an understanding of the range of tax issues relating to Equiom Solutions’ clients. Sue is a Chartered Accountant with experience of providing tax advice to corporate and individual clients throughout the UK and Channel Islands. At Equiom, Sue will be responsible for addressing tax risk management by ensuring Equiom is fully compliant with the relevant tax legislation as well as assisting clients in understanding their position and implementing practical solutions.
