Opportunity to play a part in public life

by isleofman.com 19th October 2017
Community spirited individuals who are interested in playing a role in Island life are being encouraged to consider taking up a public appointment.

The Council of Ministers is currently seeking to fill vacancies on the Appointments Commission and Health Services Independent Review Body.

People from all backgrounds and walks of life are urged to apply as ideas and advice are sought from different perspectives.

The Health Services Independent Review Body provides an impartial assessment of how complaints about healthcare provision are handled in the Isle of Man.

The Appointments Commission, which is independent of Government, makes appointments to various tribunals and bodies which deal with issues such as employment, health, education and work permits.

People who feel they have the required skills and enthusiasm to take up a public appointment can find out more information about the current vacancies on the Government website.

Application forms can be completed and submitted electronically via the webpage. Alternatively, printed versions of the information pack and application form are available from publicappointments@gov.im or the Cabinet Office, Government Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, IM1 3PN.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 5pm on Monday, 23 October 2017.
