Watts wins handicap trophy at Isle of Man Field Archery Championships

Bowderyn Vannin Field Archery Club recently held their Field Championships. Stuart Watts won the handicap trophy with a score of 254 points shooting in the barebow compound class. Zachary Watts got a Gold medal in the cub barebow compound class with a personal best score of 184 points.

Competition in the mens’ barebow recurve class was very close with Richard Killey taking Gold with 196 points, Peter Hayes silver with 186 points and Steve Farrer Bronze with 172 points. Lesley Sleight was the only lady barebow archer and finished on 312 points.

The twenty target course was a mixture of 3D and paper animal faces. Bowderyn Vannin would like to thank Martin Brunnschweiler for enabling the club to use Bushys’ Glen for competition and practices.
