by isleofman.com 18th October 2017
Douglas RNLI lifeboat was launched yesterday (17th October) at 11.35am at the request of the Coastguard following a person being reported as missing.

The RNLI all-weather lifeboat Sir William Hillary was launched under the command of volunteer Coxswain Neal Corran to conduct a shoreline search southwards from Douglas as far as Port Soderick and back.

While searching their assigned area advice was received at 12.17pm that the person reported missing had been found safe and well at which point the lifeboat volunteer crew were stood down to return to station where the lifeboat was re-housed, washed down, refuelled and was ready again for service at 1.50pm.
