At last Thursday’s International Investment Fund and Product Awards held at the Millennium Mayfair hotel in London, Boal & Co’s International Pension Plan, Freedom, was Highly Commended in the International Pension Plan category.
Now in its 18th year, the Fund and Product Awards covered 18 categories, and are intended to recognise top quality services and products, as well as industry practitioners. Boal & Co are certainly no stranger to awards, having most recently been named Best Specialist International Pension at the same awards in 2015.
The Freedom International Pension is set up under the Isle of Man’s International Pension Legislation, and is designed for expatriate clients, of any nationality, looking to save for retirement in a secure tax efficient manner. It has been recently re-vamped and is proving very popular with advisers around the globe.
Mark Kiernan, Boal & Co’s Chief Executive said “The international pension marketplace is very competitive, and is dominated by a number of large life companies, so for us to be nominated is an achievement in itself and we are pleased to have been Highly Commended by the judging panel.”
Kiernan added “We are finding more people are looking further for a home for their retirement savings than just the traditional savings plan on its own. The pension trust nature of the scheme gives added security, and the flexibility to take benefits as either lump sum or an income means that it can provide benefits fitted to each individual’s different needs. With the stability of the Isle of Man and robustness of its pension legislation, clients can remain assured their retirement savings are in a secure environment.”
