Standard Bank’s International Personal Banking proposition has been Highly Commended in the Best International Private Banking Service (Non-UK) category at the International Investment 2017 International Funds and Product Awards.

The bank, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in the Isle of Man this year, received the commendation at a gala ceremony at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London on 5 October. The judges noted Standard Bank’s interesting product and service enhancements and its effective intermediary proposition.

Standard Bank Isle of Man is part of the bank’s international Wealth business, which is a division of the Standard Bank Group, the largest African bank by assets and earnings. Although there is a specific focus on Africa and specialising in servicing clients with an African connection, the bank targets international customers worldwide with a requirement for cross-border banking services.

Chris Till, Chief Executive of Standard Bank Isle of Man, said: “We’ve worked hard to ensure that we have the experience, skill and relationships to help our clients to negotiate the often challenging and complex financial and regulatory cross-border environments globally, and it is obviously pleasing to see this effort recognised and rewarded.”

The International Fund and Product Awards are held annually in honour and recognition of groups who distribute financial products and services internationally.
