Book-keeping firm adds support to Hospice

by isleofman.com 22nd September 2017

Pinnacle Book-Keeping is to be lead sponsor of the Thriller in Villa white-collar boxing competition on October 7.

The event, now in its third year, brings male and female boxers drawn from the island’s business community into the ring to challenge their rivals in aid of Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House.

Speaking at the press launch Pinnacle’s senior manager Andy McLarney said: ‘Pinnacle’s sponsorship builds on the tremendous success of last year’s competition, which was sponsored by our associate firm, accountancy practice Crowe Clark Whitehill, and raised more than ?15,000 for two very deserving local causes, bringing the total to some ?35,000 since the event made its debut three years ago.

‘Thriller in the Villa is a good fit with our corporate social responsibility strategy. It raises money for two charities whose specialist care services make a very real difference to so many people’s lives in the Isle of Man and it connects the island’s business sector with the wider community in a way that’s fun and highly entertaining.  It’s a great night out and that’s down to the tremendous enthusiasm of the men and women willing to enter the ring for charity and to how well the event is organised by Chris Mooney. And this year there’s the added appeal of the event attracting an even wider audience, as it will be shown live in pubs around the island.

‘What this all means for us as an outsourcing firm is that from a sponsorship point of view, Thriller in the Villa really adds up.’

Thriller in the Villa is on Saturday October 7 at the Villa Marina.
