Cold Calling – Tarmacking

by isleofman.com 20th September 2017

The Office of Fair Trading has received reports of tradesmen visiting and cold calling local residents offering to do tarmacking. Cold Calling is now illegal in the Isle of Man.

The tradesmen have allegedly suggested that they have been recently employed by a local company and are able to do the work as they have materials left over from other jobs when it appears this is not the case.

Any residents who are cold called and asked to contract for this work are asked to contact the Office of Fair Trading for further advice on 686500.
