Visit IOM is announcing an exciting partnership with UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man (UBIOM).
UNESCO – the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation – welcomed the Island to the world network of Biosphere regions last year, recognising it as a special place for people and nature.
There are 669 Biosphere regions across 120 countries worldwide.
As a self-governing Crown dependency, the Isle of Man is the first entire nation to be awarded this prestigious status and the benefits will be far-reaching.
VisitIOM.co.uk has become among the first businesses to sign up as a partner to Biosphere Isle of Man.
It is displaying the logo and information on its site and promoting it to visitors.
Involvement as a project partner can involve volunteering, project sponsorship, mentoring and support for charities and communities.
As a proud ambassador for the Island, this is an exciting prospect for Visit IOM.
