Do you HEAR better with your SPECS on?

by isleofman.com 8th September 2017

That is a question which the Manx Deaf Society are asking people at the moment.  The Manx Registered Charity are offering help, advice, practical support and now lessons to those affected by hearing issues.  Founded back in the 1920’s and now operating out of Somerset Road in Douglas their aim is to support all Isle of Man residents, whatever their degree of hearing loss.

The charity has just received support from The Elizabeth Clucas Charitable Trust towards providing Lip Reading Classes – this support goes a long way in covering the costs, with the students then just having a small contribution to find.  Commencing shortly (late September/early October), the classes with be held in Douglas, Ramsey & Peel to ensure accessibility to all.

To find out more please contact Lucy Buxton, Communication & Support Manager by phone or text to 202875 or by email iomdeafsociety@gmail.com, or by letter to Manx Deaf Society, 3 Somerset Road, Douglas, IM2 5AD
