A Manx business that has secured more than ?20million of investment capital into the Island is expanding.
Established a year ago, Manninvest brings investors and entrepreneurs together and supports them with visa applications, business formation, planning and on-going management.
The Douglas-based company currently has a variety of investment opportunities in businesses as diverse as coffee shops to cutting-edge, green technology and a BAFTA winning animation studio with entrepreneurs looking for investments from ?200,000 to ?10million.
Founder of Manninvest, Chris Eaton said: “Our network of introducers extends around the world and includes Shanghai, Hong Kong, Dubai, the BVI, London and Geneva. The company was originally formed specifically to support Chinese investors but this has grown and we now have clients from across Asia, India and South America looking to invest in Europe.
“We have a strong team of 10 people with a great deal of experience and expertise in investment, immigration, business planning, company formation, growth management and mentoring across a variety of sectors.”
Co-founder, David Butterworth said: “Our work in the past year has highlighted the need for us to offer administrative support to entrepreneurs who are going to be employing people on the Island and we now have serviced offices in Douglas. They are not just available to Manninvest clients but to the wider business community who may be looking for flexible space without the commitment to long-term leases.”
The newly refurbished offices are manned during office hours but accessible 24-hours a day. There are a number of private office suites available for between two and six people for a minimum of six months and there are desks available for daily use.
Xin Christian, who has a background in international trading support, has been appointed general manager of Mannivest. She said: “We will offer a verbal and written Mandarin translation service, wireless connections, access to boardrooms and free tea and coffee.
“We are in an accessible, private location on the outskirts of Douglas with free parking. By offering space for a few days or months we take away the pressure of dealing with heating, lighting, furniture and maintenance letting our clients concentrate on their core business.”
