Busy Sunday morning for Peel lifeboat

by isleofman.com 29th August 2017

Peel lifeboat crew had a busy start to Sunday with two calls within an hour.

At 7:45am the lifeboat was called to take a person from Manannan with a medical problem. Manannan had stopped close to Peel on route to Belfast and the emergency was transferred to the lifeboat and brought to Peel to a waiting ambulance.

Also, close to Peel was a yacht which had picked up a rope in its propeller after leaving Peel earlier and anchored close to the breakwater. The volunteer Peel crew recovered the anchor and towed the yacht back into Peel.
