A few reminders this week as I'm sure school holidays and trips away take your mind off the club's diary of events.

There is still one more week of Summer Camps - Monday 21 August - Yellow ball (beginners) 10 - 11.30am for ages 11 - 14yrs;  Monday 28 -  red ball 9.30 - 11am for 6 - 8yrs; Tuesday 29 August  yellow ball (competitors)  and Wednesday 30 August - Orange and Green ball players - 12 - 2pm. There may be a few places still available so if you are interested ring Ian Watson 496293 or e-mail ianwatsonpts@manx.net.

The full club coaching programme will re-start from Saturday 16 September.

There are a few spaces at all three sessions from12 - 2pm, so again contact Ian. This is part of your Mini/Junior club membership. New applicants can attend for three free sessions, then will be asked to join if they wish to continue.. Contact Jan Gaskill by e-mail membership@albanyltc.co.uk for membership details and fees.

The tournament forms for the following events will be available shortly; 9 - 17 September - Club Auxesia Senior Closed Championships - 9 - 17 September, Club Auxesia Closed Junior Tournament 16 - 23 September, Albany Chrystals Senior Open 7 - 15 October, Albany Auxesia Junior Open 14 - 21 October. The date for Presidents Day - Senior/Junior Doubles has not yet been decided.

Finally may I say a really big "Thank you" to all family and friends who came to lunch at the club on Sunday to help me and Bryan celebrate our Diamond Wedding anniversary. I will be doing a personal "thank you" to all who made a donation for charity, the total for which has reached ?620.The lounge looks really good now, decorated and with new carpet and is now ready for hire.  It has room for 54 people, with use of a fully fitted kitchen and the rates are very reasonable and tennis parties for children are available. Full details from Kirsten Hall on social@albanyltc.co.uk.
