Santander International’s recruitment drive has been hailed a success after almost 100 people turned out at the Sefton Hotel.
The event, held across two sessions on 9th August, was well attended by those interested in a career with the bank.
During the sessions guests were invited to talk to members of staff about their experience at the company, get more information about the roles available and enjoy light refreshments. Each event began with a 30-minute presentation by Santander International’s Managing Director James Pountney, Chief Operating Officer Graham Ramsden and the Isle of Man Managing Director, John Pearson.
The recruitment drive sees Santander International bucking the trend as it is looks to recruit 22 permanent members of staff to join the Douglas office on Prospect Hill. The roles are across several different levels within payment operations, financial crime, account opening and the contact centre.
Mr Pearson said: “We’re delighted with the number of people who came along to our recruitment sessions. Most importantly the calibre of candidates was fantastic and goes to show the quality of people we have on the Isle of Man.
“It’s an exciting time for all of us at Santander International and I’m sure the successful candidates will enjoy working in our branch as much as we do. We’re delighted to be expanding our Isle of Man operation which offers savings and mortgages to local residents as well as overseas customers.
“If anyone is interested in applying for the roles but couldn’t make it along to the event I’d encourage them to look at the details of our vacancies on our website, www.santanderinternational.co.uk, where they can also apply directly.”
