Peel Soapbox

by isleofman.com 8th August 2017

Team Collins & Russell (TCR) are happy to announce their plans for the forthcoming Peel Soapbox Race on Sunday 20th August.

Riding the Leece Museum/Wobbly Bob entered kart "Neck & Neck" will be driver Kirsty Russell and ever so brave passenger Jack Hunter.

Kirsty has recently taken part in a 10 day Royal Enfield tour of Mongolia and lugging one of them about she should be bullet proof (sorry) at Peel.

Jack Hunter (son of Jim, travelling marshal) is just getting back to full fitness after a RTA earlier this year and is giving this year's MGP a miss to fully concentrate on the Peel event.

Our 2nd kart entered and supported by Bushy Brewery is "Black Bush" and will be ridden by this year's TT newcomer sensation Raul Torras from Barcelona (No Honest!).

Raul lapped at over 122mph and is coming back to race in the Classic TT and the Peel course will be good practice for him before the lesser event (Joke).

The kart "Black Bush" he is riding won last year's Douglas Soapbox so no pressure there Raul.

With a "new" probably faster course this year it should be close to spectacular so come on down you know you want to and you deserve it for sure.
