CIM Accredited Study Centre, The Marketing Partnership, based in the Isle of Man, is holding an Open Day on 21 June for anyone who is interested in marketing as a career or would like to develop marketing talent in their business.
Diane Earles, network manager for CIM, said “This is an ideal opportunity for anyone thinking of a career in marketing, or already pursuing that path, to find out how they can benefit from CIM qualifications or Apprenticeships.”
The Department of Economic Development and The Marketing Partnership launched a new Marketing Apprenticeship Scheme in March for budding marketers as well as local industry. Tim Crookall MLC, the Department’s Member for Employment and Skills, said, “The Department helped over 400 people engage in apprenticeships last year across a range of sectors, and the new Marketing Apprenticeship is a great addition. The apprenticeship offers an exciting career choice for people who want to work in the marketing teams of local organisations and supports local businesses here with the training costs of a new recruit. Although it is primarily aimed at young people, there is no age limit for applicants.”
The scheme will start in September and will initially offer 6 places with a limit of one apprentice per company. Heather Blackley, Director of The Marketing Partnership, said “We have had lots of interest from potential apprentices and we are now on the look-out for businesses that want to help them.” She continued, “I am keen to talk to any employer who would like to develop the marketing talent in their business.”
In addition to Apprenticeships, The Marketing Partnership also offers flexible learning for those wishing to study CIM qualifications, including specialist digital modules.
The Open Day will be held at MPES, above Starbucks, at 44 Duke Street in Douglas between 10:00 and 14:00 on 21 June.
