Standard Bank has been highly commended in the ‘Best Offshore Account Provider’ category at the 2017 Moneyfacts Awards.
The event, held on 6 June in London and organised by the UK’s leading personal finance data provider, showcases the excellence of personal finance products and providers across the financial industry. The coveted awards are judged by an independent panel with rigorous product monitoring carried out throughout the preceding year, and an intermediary community also consulted for feedback.
The award recognised the International Personal Banking (IPB) division of Standard Bank Wealth International, which is based in the Isle of Man and serves more than 34,000 clients in over 200 jurisdictions worldwide.
IPB offers a range of banking and savings products from multi-currency transactional, savings and capital protected accounts, and also introduces clients to Standard Bank Group’s retail funds and investments.
Chris Till, CEO of Standard Bank Isle of Man, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for our offshore account servies in such a competitive environment and through such a rigorous judging process. Standard Bank prides itself on anticipating customer needs rather than reacting to them, which means committing to knowing our customers well, their interests and their lifestyles. Rather than just being a bank, we view ourselves as providing financial support to our worldwide clients and their families, continuing to offer value and providing solutions to meet their diverse needs."
Lee Tillcock, editor of Moneyfacts, said: “All the finalists and winners at this year’s Moneyfacts Awards should be proud of their achievements. Despite the current political uncertainty, all the providers have continued to offer value, choice and innovation across the personal finance sector. By providing the products and services that best meet the needs of consumers, the Awards showcase those providers who have consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality and excellence that will serve them during the next year."
