The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising has presented Isle of Man Advertising & PR with an award to celebrate a decade of membership.
Isle of Man Advertising & PR is the Island’s only member of the IPA, which is widely recognised as the world’s most influential professional body for the advertising and marketing communications industry.
Membership of the IPA requires detailed vetting and attaining a high level of professional development for every member of staff each year.
Isle of Man Advertising & PR, based in Quay House, South Quay, Douglas, was admitted to the IPA in 2008 and has maintained its membership ever since.
In recognition of 10 years’ membership, the IPA presented the company with a special award accompanied by a message from Director General Paul Bainsfair.
He wrote: ‘The longstanding relationship we have had with you makes us very proud, and this year marks a milestone in your agency’s membership with us. Members are our lifeblood, and it is your talent and enthusiasm that helps to make the IPA the world’s leading authority on the value of advertising.
‘I would like to thank you, and your agency colleagues, for the important contribution you make to the industry through us.’
It is another accolade for Isle of Man Advertising & PR, one of the Island’s leading names in advertising, marketing strategy and management, graphic and website design, press and public relations, and e-commerce, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016.
Managing Director Helen Summerscales said: ‘It is wonderful to receive this award from the IPA recognising our decade of continuous membership.
‘Maintaining membership is demanding, as it requires detailed external scrutiny of our business each year, delivery of measurable professional development of every member of the team and a commitment to observing the IPA’s rules and standards. However, membership also brings great benefits to Isle of Man Advertising & PR and our clients.
‘Not only does it ensure we aim for and achieve the highest standard of creativity and service delivery, but also enables us to call upon a wide range of industry expertise including legal advice, global market research, detailed insight into worldwide marketing and advertising trends and many more services.
‘Accessing the IPA’s knowledge and the experience of other member firms enhances the services we deliver to our clients both here in the Isle of Man and, increasingly, in other areas including London, the Channel Islands and other international business centres.’
