Isle of Man Post Office’s specialist communications division, Integrated Mailing Solutions (IMS), is pleased to announce that it has successfully transitioned its quality accreditation to the new revised ISO/IEC 9001:2015 standard, following an audit by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) in January.
ISO 9001 is based on a number of quality management principles, which includes a strong customer focus, the support of senior management, documenting procedures and identifying areas for continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services. It is an important accreditation to IMS and its customers.
The accreditation body LRQA has conducted a thorough and rigorous audit of IMS, its staff and systems to ensure it had the procedures and processes in place to comply with the revised standard. The global quality standard awarded by the International Organisation for Standardisation and the International Electrotechnical Commission has been awarded to all the services which IMS provides, including mail opening, storage, scanning, data capture, printing, fulfilment, franking and stationery supply.
Niall Carey, Isle of Man Post Office Interim Commercial Director said: "I am delighted that we have successfully transitioned to the new ISO/IEC 9001:2015 quality standard. Having this accreditation is important to our clients who choose us because we adhere to internationally recognised standards for quality and information security."
"Achievement of this latest ISO accreditation is as a result of the dedicated focus of our IMS department in establishing and maintaining robust and auditable processes within the business."
“Many of our corporate customers have a mandatory requirement for their suppliers to hold this accreditation so this latest transition is critical to our on-going business.”
