The Nedgroup Junior Open commences this Saturday with Orange and Green ball events. All players will be notified of their match times and all entry fees should be paid before your first match, Finals Day is Saturday 1 April and the prizes will be presented at 4pm by Chris Watterson on behalf of Nedgroup Investments (IOM) Ltd.
Men's and Women's Summer Leagues start in April and this year the club has entered four men's teams and two women's teams. All team captains have a full list of players available. The first fixture is away to Ramsey A for Albany men's C team, starting at 6.30pm, whose captain is Robby Orr who will be expecting his team to start the season off in style. The first home match is the Women's B team with Douglas B the visitors starting at 7pm and captain is Jackie Russell. Thanks to Val Worth, Christine Brinkler, Pat Crease, Mervyn Hills, Robby Orr, Mike Jackson, Bryan Sharp, Stuart Colligon, Ian Copley, Anthony Morgan, Claire Skelcher and Katsuyo Yamaszaki who turned up over the weekend and did sterling work with deck scrubbers and water (there was plenty of that) and cleaned all the courts.

And talking of fundraising the fund for the new lounge carpet is growing by the day. There are only 28 tiles left in the tile competition, which on sale in the club room. When this is completed, plus generous donations we will have raised over ?1,300. Thank you to all who have supported this and all our "money making" efforts. The club is an expensive building/organisation to run and these efforts keep our membership fees at a realistic level.
