Sleight heading to IFAA World Indoor Archery Championships

Lesley Sleight will be representing England at the IFAA World Indoor Archery Championships in Romania.

Lesley from Ronague is one of five archers who will compete for England in Brasov from 29th March to 1st April.
Over three hundred and sixty archers from twenty-seven countries will be competing for world medals.

Lesley recently became the 2017 IFAA English Indoor Archery Champion in Ladies Longbow. Lesley was also the highest scoring archer at the IFAA Scottish Indoor Championships for both Longbow and Traditional bow classes for men and women.

Lesley said: “This is my first season of competitive indoor archery. I usually concentrate on field archery. This will be a big step up for me to compete in this discipline at a world championship competition. I am really looking forward to the experience.”

Lesley is a member of Isle of Man Archery Club and Bowderyn Field Club.
