Nedgroup Investments is celebrating another major award after again winning the title of Offshore Management Company of the Year at the 21st Annual Raging Bull Awards in Cape Town.
The company, based in Douglas, also won third place in the South African Management Company of the Year. The award comes a year after the company won the Raging Bull Award for the South African Management Company of the Year and Nedgroup Investments International won the Offshore Management Company award.
Nedgroup Investments has featured among the top three South African management companies since 2009. The Raging Bull Awards were established in 1997 to honour the managers of funds that consistently earn good returns for South African retail investors.
It is the 8th year in a row that Nedgroup Investments has been amongst the top three unit trust managers in the country, and the second time it has been named the top Offshore Management Company.
The highly respected Raging Bull awards measure performance across a range of funds taking into account performance, risk-management and consistency over a five year period.
Managing director Andrew Lodge said that winning the award for the second year in succession was a major accolade for the Nedgroup Investments team.
He said, “The consistency over the long-term are a real endorsement of our Best of Breed philosophy where we identify and partner with exceptional independent managers who we believe have a sustainable edge.”
A number of Nedgroup Investments funds also won awards for being the top fund (performance and/or risk-adjusted performance) in their respective categories:
Opportunity Fund managed by Abax
Global Flexible Fund managed by FPA
Global Cautious Fund managed by Chartwell
Financials Fund managed by Denker Capital
Global Flexible Feeder Fund managed by FPA
The Nedgroup Investments Private Wealth Equity Fund also won a Raging Bull award for top performance on a risk-adjusted basis in the coveted General Equity category.
