Ivan Lintin Confirmed for Pre-TT Classic

by isleofman.com 8th March 2017

Ivan Lintin has confirmed he will return to the Billown Course in May for the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races and compete in the Classic Superbike race.

As last year, he will ride under the RC Express colours on a 1991 Kawasaki ZXR750RR which has been built in Germany by Kraus Racing similar to the one he raced last year in the same class.

RC Express spokesman, Nigel Fitzsimmonds said: Having put the bike on pole position last year, we were disappointed that our engine expired at the end of the first lap as we felt Ivan would have given Jamie and the Mistral ZXR750 some stiff competition, no doubt raising the lap record and making quite a show for the spectators!’

With just three weeks before entries close for the 29th running of the popular Classic road races, which kick-start the annual TT Festival over 200 entries have already been received and confirmed ensuring action-packed, close racing over the 4.25-mile Billown Course.

This year’s Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races takes place on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and all day Bank Holiday Monday, 26th, 27th & 29th May.
