Leading trust and corporate services provider Equiom is proud to announce that two of its staff members have excelled in their STEP examination results.
Vicky Harding, Senior Administrator in Client Services was awarded top marks in the Overall STEP Diploma and she also took top place in the Trust Administration and Accounts exam alongside her colleague Chantal Quayle, who is an Assistant Manager in the Business Development team now based in the Hong Kong office.
For their excellent efforts, the two students were rewarded by being given the chance to select their chosen charities, each receiving prize money donated by STEP and Equiom. Vicky chose her donation to be split between Hospice Isle of Man and the Manx Diabetic Society, whilst Chantal opted to contribute the funds to Manx Cancer Help.
Vicky Harding said of her chosen charities: ‘Hospice is very close to my heart, as it is everybody’s really. I know quite a few people affected by diabetes and the Manx Diabetic Group is one that probably doesn’t get as much recognition.’
Donations of ?125 were given to each of the local charities, as chosen by the winners, which was a new but welcome addition to this year’s presentations.
Aidan Davin said of the news: ‘Vicky and Chantal have both worked very hard to receive these qualifications and they should be very pleased with their results. We’re delighted to sponsor the winner’s prize money which all went to good causes locally. Personal development is extremely important to us and we pride ourselves on providing an environment in which our staff are able to broaden their skills and knowledge.’
Equiom has been supporting the Isle of Man STEP branch for a number of year. The branch was first established in 1996, and has now 360 members made up of professional and student members.
