The Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) IOM Group Launch was held at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas on the 23rd February and sponsored by Isle of Man Post Office.

Speakers included the IOM Information Commissioner - Iain McDonald, Roger Poole - IRMS Commercial Development Director, Reynold Leming – IRMS Conference Director and Niall Carey – IOM Post Office Interim Commercial Director. 

As well as the IOM Group relaunch the main focus of the day was on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements and attracted a good attendance of people from both private & public sectors.

Rupert Leaton (Chair of the IOM Group) stated that he was delighted with the attendance and following the launch there will be regular newsletters and we are already planning a second seminar later in the year.
