The local branch of the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Insurance Institute of the IOM is delighted to announce their next event that will discuss Digital Due Diligence and why just “Googling” it, isn’t always the answer.
Colin Tansley, founder & owner of Intelect Solutions Ltd, an IOM based training and investigations company will discuss why customer due diligence (CDD) is a fundamental Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedure and if you rely solely on Google to search, you will almost certainly be missing things. The talk will show you how to identify the difference between information and business intelligence.
Colin’s ‘Digital Due Diligence’ course has been developed to serve the needs of those involved in compliance, AML and financial services industries. The course has recently received accreditation from SFJ Awards.
A former law enforcement officer, Colin retired at senior level from the police service in 2008. He is a highly experienced investigator and possesses extensive knowledge of the Internet and how to access credible information.
He has delivered training for over 16 years and is certified by TAP (Training Accreditation Programme) as a learning and development practitioner. Colin is a member of the Association of British Investigators (ABI) EPIC (Ex Police in Commerce) and has recently qualified as an ACE (Accredited Cyber Essentials) practitioner.
Matthew Hills, Education Secretary of the local institute said: “We are delighted to welcome Colin to present to members of the institute for the first time on what promises to be an engaging and interesting topic.”
