by isleofman.com 14th February 2017

Lesley Sleight competed in the IFAA Scottish Indoor Championships held in Linlithgow. She won two gold medals in the open competition.

In the morning Lesley competed in the Ladies Longbow class and recorded the highest score in both her own class and the mens class.
In the afternoon Lesley shot in the Ladies Traditional Recurve Class and once again out performed the men recording the highest score of the day.

Lesley said: “This was my first IFAA indoor competition and I was pleased with my performance. To be the highest scoring archer boosted my confidence. The competition has given me valuable experience for the forthcoming English Indoor Archery Championships. I was five points off the English record in the longbow class and hope to improve on this.”

Lesley is a member of Isle of Man Archery Club and Bowderyn Vannin Field Club.
