Leading offshore law firm Appleby will be represented at a major online gaming and gambling conference in London next month.
ICE Totally Gaming 2017 takes place at ExCeL, London, from 7 to 9 February and is expected to attract more than 28,000 visitors and 560 exhibitors from around the globe. Over the three days attendees can learn more about the latest sector innovations and discuss the opportunities and developments in the industry.
Claire Milne, a Partner in the Corporate department at Appleby’s Isle of Man office and Team Leader for the Telecommunications & Technology and Intellectual Property teams, will represent Appleby at ICE.
Having served as Chair of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission from 2007 to 2012 and as a full general member of the International Master of Gaming Law, Claire is a highly experienced and respected figure in the online gaming and gambling community.
Claire said: “ICE is one of the most important and well-attended events in the industry’s calendar, with major international figures from throughout the sector present. This is a key opportunity to highlight Appleby’s expertise in the online gaming and gambling sectors across multiple jurisdictions.
“Events like this are also a good chance to promote the Isle of Man as a centre of excellence with many benefits. Our highly respected licensing regime, player protection mechanisms and professional services encourage existing operators as well as start-up businesses to consider doing business in the Island.”
She added: “The gaming industry is experiencing many significant developments at the moment. New products and more entrants into the industry demonstrate the strength and growth of the sector but alongside this are ongoing challenges of emerging markets and increasingly demanding regulatory requirements.”
