Leading offshore law firm Appleby assisted The Blackstone Group in a ?115 million UK property deal.

Appleby Isle of Man Partner Kyle Sutherland and Associate Katherine Johnson advised The Blackstone Group International Partners LLP during the purchase of 1.6 million square feet of logistics units from Clearbell Property Partners II LP.

They worked alongside Jersey-based colleagues Partner Andrew Weaver and Associate Chris Smedley, drawing on Appleby’s unique network of global offshore expertise.

Katherine said: “Appleby’s assistance included carrying out detailed corporate due diligence and giving general advice and assistance with the transaction. This was an important share transfer which required both Isle of Man and Jersey advice that we were well placed to provide.”

The properties acquired are in Greater Manchester, Peterborough, Maidstone, Leicester and Banbury, and are used by retailers and distributers looking for well-located warehouses to support their business needs.
