This year’s City Wealth IFC Awards were held at Lords Cricket Ground with a strong contingent of Isle of Man firms competing for the highly regarded awards. Now in their sixth year, the Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards were established to highlight the excellence of the advisers and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international financial centres.

The awards are judged by an international panel of highly respected practitioners from all sectors with experience of working with advisors in all the jurisdictions covered. The winners are those who have excelled in achievement, innovation, expertise and service.

One of the most sought after awards by the Islands legal profession is Law Firm of the Year. The shortlisted firms included last year’s winner Appleby together with Cains, DQ Advocates, M&P Legal, MannBenham Advocates and Simcocks.

This year’s winner of Isle of Man Law Firm of the Year was MannBenham Advocates who are also celebrating their 20th year in business.
The award was accepted by Miles Benham the Managing Director of MannBenham from former England Rugby player Austin Healey.

Commenting on the award Miles said, “This is a fantastic achievement by the team at MannBenham who faced strong competition to win this prestigious award. We have invested heavily in our staff and infrastructure to enable us to provide advice of the highest quality but at very competitive rates. We aim to grow our practice so that we continue to be a leader in the market for high quality legal services.”
