Paysafe, a leading global payments provider, has opened a new office on Victoria Street in Douglas. The Isle of Man registered business is extending its presence on the island where it has been based since 2003.
Paysafe provides digital payments and transaction-related solutions to businesses and consumers around the world. The company provides pay before, pay now and pay later solutions through digital wallets, prepaid solution, payment processing and card issuing, and acquiring products and services in more than 100 payment types and 40 currencies.
The company has recently celebrated its first anniversary as Paysafe, following the acquisition of Skrill Group, the integration of payments company Meritus, the acquisition of FANS Entertainment and more recently Income Access, an affiliate technology provider.
Paysafe has also been actively supporting the island’s community. Initiatives that have been supported include: the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association – financially supporting Isle of Man athletes to attend the next Commonwealth games; Sport Aid – supporting promising athletes with their training programmes and giving them the opportunity to attend events; and the Isle of Man Beach Buddies – formed in 2006, the organisation works alongside private companies and environmental groups to help clean up the Manx coastline.
