Estera wins Awards for Excellence Teamwork prize

by isleofman.com 21st November 2016

Estera has been recognised for its outstanding teamwork at the prestigious Awards for Excellence.

During a gala presentation ceremony hosted by TV personality Alexander Armstrong in the Isle of Man on Thursday (18 November) the company was awarded the Teamwork title.

The category was for businesses which had demonstrated how they had built teams within and across their organisation and how that had improved internal performance and relationships with partners and clients. The decision to present the award to Estera followed judging by an independent panel.

The win highlights the collaborative, strategic work of Estera’s teams across 10 offshore jurisdictions to successfully establish the company as a leading name in fiduciary and administration service provision just months after launching the new brand. Since the completion of the management buyout from the Appleby Group on 31 December last year, Estera has integrated a global team of more than 350, ensured a smooth transition to the new company for existing clients, sought out new markets and expanded its staff numbers.

In the Isle of Man, Estera employs 54 people at its Douglas office, with plans for further expansion of staff and client numbers in the coming months.

Isle of Man-based Estera Group Director Sean Dowling said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled with this accolade, which is a well-deserved recognition of the outstanding teamwork demonstrated across the Estera group this year.

‘So much has been achieved in the past few months to establish Estera as a major brand in the fiduciary industry, exceeding the ambitious targets we set ourselves, and that is thanks to the excellent teamwork in all our offices and across the group worldwide.

‘This Award for Excellence in Teamwork, which follows an independent assessment, is a tribute to every member of the Estera family and I would like to congratulate all of my colleagues on this latest success.’

The Awards for Excellence, organised by Isle of Man Newspapers, was launched more than a decade ago and has recognised the achievements and contributions of more than 300 companies, organisations and individuals. The winners of 16 award categories were announced in the Royal Hall at the Villa Marina, Douglas, on 17 November.
