The club's Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 22 November in the club lounge starting at 6.30pm. Our Chairman, Stuart Colligon says he would like to see a lot of members attending and giving their opinions on the past year's activities and development plus ideas for the coming season.

The Friday Ladies group will be having their Christmas Lunch at The Empress Hotel on Friday 9 December. The meal is three course. Cost is ?21 including a tip. Friday Ladies members pay ?17.  Contact Val Partington844173/467438 or e-mail val@mcb.net OR Catherine Brinkler 853570 or cpbrinkler@gmail.com.  Please let them know by 21 November.  I can recommend this club event -it's good value and entertaining. The Friday Ladies Morning group has been active for many, many years and is still very popular. New members, especially new residents say it's a great way to get in to island life as well as exercise. The group holds various charity fund raising events during the year and everyone has the chance to help organise these. They meet every Friday from 10am to 12noon and if anyone wants information they can contact Jan Gaskill 862144/439613 or e-mail jan.gaskill@gmail.com.  You can attend three times as a guest  before needing to join. I can assure you there will be a warm welcome. Play is always on as they have use of the indoor court if the weather isn't good.

The Auxesia Junior Open tournament has had a slow start  so I'll do all the results next week.

Autumn leaves - please help keep the courts as clear as possible. Last Saturday young Lucy Clarke (9) was helping club President, Bryan Sharp with sweeping and then wheeled four barrow loads to be disposed of. Any juniors are welcome to join in!
