Thirteen archers turned up at Onchan on Sunday to shoot a Worcester round as part of the Club’s Handicap League. The maximum score an archer can achieve on a Worcester is 300.
As far as scratch scores were concerned, Danny Cowin led the way in the Gents Recurve but had to settle for 6th place after handicapping. The usually on form Josh Trafford had three misses which put him in third place on scratch terms and saw him finished second last after the handicap was applied.
In the Gents Compound, Rhys Moore, who shot a perfect round a few weeks ago, unfortunately dropped two points in the last ten arrows to tie with Pete Mumford. After handicapping both men finished tied in 4th place overall.
In the Junior Gents Recurve, Toby Young shot the highest scratch score of the day but ended up tied with Josh Trafford in 11th place after handicapping. Jacob Brookes added 25 points to his pb for the round to finish second to Toby in scratch terms and second overall after the handicap was applied. Aaron Pannell-Cottier added 34 points to his pb and Nathan Kinrade added a terrific 56 points to his personal best score for the round. After the handicap was applied Nathan ran out the clear winner.
