Archery GB Junior rankings

by isleofman.com 14th November 2016

Archery GB have published the draft GB Junior Rankings for 2016 and 12 year old Tilly Ashton was placed in overall 36th place in the Junior Recurve Ladies division and 8th in the U14 Junior Ladies (Cadet).  A brilliant result in her first outdoor competition season for gaining her ranking points.  Lots of hard work by both Tilly and her coach, Dave Berry, has paid off and all the time and expense in competing off-Island is well justified.

Tilly and Dave are off-Island this weekend attending Talent Identification coaching at Lilleshall, and next weekend will attend the Accrington Archery Academy for more training. It is too early yet for Tilly to compete in the Island Games, but great to know that she will definitely be old enough for the next Island Games that includes archery as one of the competing sports which will be in 2021 as there is no archery in the Gibraltar Games in 2019.
