Highly Acclaimed GentleBirth Antenatal Workshops come to IOM

by isleofman.com 7th November 2016

Rachel Kermeen, the Isle of Man’s only Holistic Core Restore® Coach and Women’s Wellness and Fitness expert is bringing the highly acclaimed ‘GentleBirth’ antenatal workshops to the Isle of Man.

GentleBirth workshops help educate women and their birth partners in the principles of positive birthing and how to deal with fear and anxiety. All this is learnt and approached through Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Sports Psychology and Medical Hypnosis – along with tools, information and techniques to prepare for the most positive birth possible.

These detailed workshops cover everything from the physiology of the normal birth process, the neuroscience of a GentleBirth, facilitating the perfect balance of hormones in labour, breathing techniques, advanced physical comfort measures, active birth techniques, what to expect at hospital, mental preparation, and your birthing options and preferences.

Commenting on the news Rachel said, “I'm delighted to share that I'm opening up and offering these incredible workshops to mums and their birth partners. There’s nothing like this on the Isle of Man.  My aim is to reassure, prepare and pass on my knowledge to empower women to have positive birth experiences”.
