by isleofman.com 10th October 2016

The UK IT Industry Awards will celebrate IT excellence at a lavish ceremony held at the Battersea Park Events Arena on the 16th of November 2016, and are the benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computer industry. The primary sponsors are BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and Computing Magazine.

Award categories range from CIO, IT Apprentice of the year; to the best IT place to work and best ‘not for profit’ IT project. The judge’s criteria in each category is to focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.

Kurt commented “It’s great to be able to give recognition to outstanding individuals and organisations from the UK IT industry who have demonstrated both excellence in their field and benefit to the wider community” The awards seek to reward individuals and organisations who have contributed to the development and deployment of innovative IT systems that improve business operations or enhance public services. Kurt added “I was delighted and privileged to be able to represent both the BCS at this event, and hope that MICTA can encourage companies from our own island community to gain recognition through this forum, or possibly our own version of this in the future”.
