Creechurch Capital strengthens team with appointment of senior analyst

by isleofman.com 10th October 2016

Discretionary fund manager, Creechurch Capital, has appointed Iain Ramsay as a senior analyst in its investment team.

Ramsay joins Creechurch Capital from AVI Fund Solutions where he was a business development manager. During his time at AVI, Ramsay gained vast experience across the offshore financial sector travelling to territories including the Middle East, Latin America and South East Asia. Having recently completed his CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma, Ramsay is keen to apply the skills obtained during his diploma.

Commenting on his new role, Ramsay said: “My career, thus far, has been spent gaining both practical and theoretical experience which has allowed me to gain a holistic understanding of the market. My new position within Creechurch allows me to utilise this experience and knowledge gained from travel and study and apply it to my new role.

“The asset management industry is an increasingly competitive environment with major developments in Fintech and ‘Robo advice’ set to influence the industry over the coming decades. With this in mind, it is vital that discretionary managers are able to demonstrate and communicate to clients the added value and level of service they offer in delivering a solution that goes over and beyond that of passive or data only driven strategies.”

Mario Ricciardi, managing director at Creechurch Capital, commented on his latest appointment: “Iain’s addition to the team has been a strategic decision. His practical experience out in the field and his understanding of the offshore market will strengthen the team as we look to expand across jurisdictions, promoting the Isle of Man as a centre for excellence.”

Ricciardi was appointed as managing director in May 2016 and set out with a focus on recruitment. Ramsay’s appointment is in line with this strategy to further strengthen the team and prepare Creechurch Capital for ongoing expansion.
