Booking website miquando.com has recorded another quarter of dramatic growth, underlining the ever-increasing demand for online services in the Isle of Man.
Figures for July, August and September show a 163% increase in unique visits to miquando.com, and the number of bookings processed through the site up by a staggering 257% compared with the second quarter of 2016.
The statistics also highlighted miquando.com’s customer retention, with returning visitors up 123% compared with the previous quarter, as well as the impressive growth in new users, with first time visitors to the site increasing by 173%.
The data, captured using Google Analytics, Statcounter and Alexa, showed Q3 2016 to be the best quarter so far for miquando.com.
MiQuando Director Nigel Jones said: ‘We established miquando.com to give businesses a cost-effective and easy to use solution to allow them to offer online booking. Some people questioned the need for the service in the Isle of Man, but our website statistics routinely show that this is something that customers today demand and use.
‘A growing number of us prefer to carry out day-to-day activities, like booking appointments and making restaurant reservations, online, especially using smartphones and tablets. Customers want the convenience of making the booking at a time that suits them, day or night, rather than when a business is open and someone is free to answer the phone.
‘With miquando.com they can find the right business, read about what it does, see reviews, check availability and make a booking simply and quickly, wherever they are and whatever the time. The latest figures show more and more people are using miquando.com and, importantly, returning to use it time and time again. Importantly for businesses and customers miquando.com is entirely reliable, with 100% uptime in July, August and September.’
He added: ‘The simple message from these figures is that demand for online booking is huge, so if you don’t offer the service you are missing out on business.’
Among the hundreds of businesses listed on miquando.com are restaurants, beauty salons, legal and financial services, hairdressers and even hot tub hire, with more being added all the time.
