Club Junior Championships will start Saturday 24 September which will be the red ball event and finals will be on Saturday 1 October. Other age groups are U9, U10, U12 and U18 singles plus U12 and U18 doubles. Entry forms available by the weekend or e-mail Ian Watson.

Reminders 1) The clubroom will be in-accessible from Monday for 4 or 5 days whilst a new floor is being laid. Access will be by the side door or indoor court. Changing facilities for members will be in the Disabled changing room/shower.

2) I would like members to return their Tombola tickets - sold with stubs and money or if unsold let me have them now so that they can be re-issued. We have an excellent prize list and tickets are selling well so far. The draw will be made at the 50yr Celebration Dinner at the Empress on Friday 7 October by the President of The Lawn Tennis Association, Mrs Cathie Sabin.

3) A list is up for entries for the President's Day Senior/Junior on Sunday 25 September. This is an annual competition. This is a yellow ball event but orange or green ball players may enter if they feel confident. Senior only have one serve per point (this cuts out aces!!). Any junior who has played in the league will be classed as a senior. The first stage is round robin, going on to knock-out.
