The Isle of Man once again has a strong presence among those nominated for awards at the International Fund and Product Awards. Now in their 17th year, the awards recognise companies offering the best funds and products across a range of different categories.
Laurence Skelly, Minister for the Department of Economic Development commented:
‘I am delighted at the Isle of Man’s continued strong performance at these awards. This recognition is a testament to the quality of the products and services offered by the Island’s insurance and financial services sectors.
‘The award nominations recognise the developments made by industry in the last year supported by the work of the Department’s Financial Services team. With the introduction of the new ?50 million Enterprise Development Scheme in 2016, the Isle of Man has once again cemented itself as a top tier international business centre. My colleagues and I at the Department wish all those nominated the very best of luck.’
The Isle of Man was awarded Best International Finance Centre in 2015 and has been nominated for the award again in 2016.
Gillian Marples, Director at Integralife International and Chairperson of the Manx Insurance Association commented:
‘The number of Isle of Man insurance companies represented in these award nominations reflects the high quality products we as an island have to offer. This year the Association is working closely with our regulator as they look to introduce a Conduct of Business Code for insurers operating on the Island. May I also be the first to congratulate Island companies from other financial services sectors nominated for one of these prestigious awards.’
