by isleofman.com 19th July 2016
Grant Thornton has announced a number of appointments to its Isle of Man office.

Karen Quine, Joe Coyle, Elizabeth Townsend and Charlie Burton have taken on new roles as Associates at the firm as it continues to grow its audit and assurance business following the 2014 merger with BDO (Isle of Man).

Managing Director Dennis McGurgan said: ‘As Grant Thornton continues to expand it is essential we bring in new members of staff at the start of their careers so they can train and develop as part of our team. I’m sure Karen, Joe, Elizabeth and Charlie will benefit from working alongside senior colleagues, as well as bringing additional enthusiasm and professionalism to our office.’

Former Ballakermeen High School and Isle of Man Business School student Karen is a qualified internal auditor who has previously worked in the banking sector and for Isle of Man Government.

Joe attended St Ninian’s High School and commenced a degree in Mandarin Chinese and Economics at Leeds University. He joins Grant Thornton having worked in the catering and retail sectors and for an Island-based corporate service provider.

Elizabeth and Charlie both also attended St Ninian’s. Charlie studied at Lancaster University while Elizabeth, who previously worked as a secondary school teacher, studied at Royal Holloway, University of London, and undertook postgraduate training at Bristol University.
