Red Flag Incident During Opening Sidecar Race

An incident during the fifth lap of the opening Sidecar Race at the Southern 100 International Road Races resulted in the race being red flagged and the result being declared at the end of the fourth lap.

The incident at Ballawhetstone involved one sidecar outfit.

The driver was checked by the course doctor, with the passenger being transferred to Nobles Hospital.
