by isleofman.com 8th July 2016
Representatives from Isle of Man Post Office's Stamps & Coins team will attend and exhibit at this years ‘Royal International Air Tattoo Show’ at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, from 8th – 10th July, where it will promote a selection of its latest stamp collections.

The air show, which is often referred as the world's greatest, typically attracts an average of 150,000 to 160,000 spectators over the weekend and will this year focus primarily on the future of aviation with the theme of 'Next Generation: Inspiring Innovation'. Those in attendance will be treated to air displays featuring the very latest fighter jets, including the RAF's new stealth fighter the F-35B Lightning II, and some of the world's best international aerobatic display teams. On the ground the show will showcase multi engine transporters, vintage aircrafts and remarkably rare cars.

Maxine Cannon, General Manager of Stamps & Coins said: "We were last present at the show in 2014 and are looking forward to attending this year's instalment. Our presence at this year’s event will enable us to showcase our aviation and military stamp collections to enthusiasts, including the 150th anniversary of Royal Aeronautical Society which celebrates innovation in aerospace, the 50th Display Season of the Red Arrows, The Battle of Britain 75th Anniversary and our Tim Peake back to earth special envelope".

The Isle of Man Stamps & Coins stand will be located within the Red trading area from 8th – 10th July. Visit iompost.com to view our full latest stamp collections.
