It was gaming of a different kind for guests at the most recent Isle of Man eClub event as traditional pursuits such as quoits and skittles were enjoyed at the June get-together for members of the eGaming community.
Hosted by Rose Estates Limited at Analyst House, its newest development on Peel Road in Douglas, attendees had a chance to admire the spacious modern offices which had been decorated with artwork and sculptures on loan from the Sayle Gallery and music provided by Bang and Olufsen for the evening.
As well as the indoor games, guests were treated to drinks and canapes as they joined together to discuss the latest issues in the eGaming world, the recent Brexit vote in the UK being one hot topic of conversation.
Rose Estates owns and lets a wide range of commercial office accommodation across central Douglas. All its properties are let with car parking available on site or nearby and Rose Estates kindly gave away a much sought-after free six month parking space in Douglas in a prize draw at the eClub. Rachael Cringle, Account Manager at Wi-Manx, was the lucky winner.
Julia Erskine, Director of Rose Estates, said: “This was the first eClub we have hosted and it was such an enjoyable event. We have already had some contact with the local eGaming community through our property lets so it was a great opportunity to welcome others connected with eGaming, IT and other supporting professions.
“The eClub is an excellent forum for networking as well as sharing information and experiences, and I am sure many long-lasting relationships are cemented at these meetings.”
Membership of eClub is open to anyone working within the eGaming and the wider eBusiness industry on the Isle of Man of Man. Initiated by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies, members meet on a regular basis to make contacts, or discuss industry trends and developments.
