by isleofman.com 6th July 2016

The Manx Workshop for the Disabled (MWFD), which is based in Douglas and headed up by Peter Hindley, has recently finished a large job for local manufacturing company DLP Limited who are based in Snugborough and specialise in adaptive bathrooms and kitchens.

The job involved reworking the layout of 6,000 grab rails which MWFD have now completed and handed over.

Speaking for the MWFD Peter said: "It was a great opportunity to grow our team as the job kept two team members fully employed for over 3 months" he went on to say, "We are looking forward to a long term relationship with the team at DLP."

Bruce Lockton, one of DLP's Directors said: "Reworking these grab rails was a beneficial project for both parties, and we are currently in discussions with Peter and the team at the MWFD to see what other projects can be outsourced to them."
