Signing-On for Marshals for the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company sponsored Southern 100 International Road Races takes place on Thursday evening 7th July at the Morton Hall in Castletown, commencing at 7:00pm.
Deputy Chief Marshal, Peter Chadwick is asking all marshals and prospective marshals to attend the Signing-on session as there will also in attendance, a team of Paramedics and Travelling Marshals, who will during the course of the evening demonstrate some new procedures regarding the removal of drivers and passengers from Sidecar Outfits after racing incidents.
Peter Chadwick added: ‘I would urge all our marshals to attend the signing-on session and take advantage of learning these new rescue procedures which have been brought in after incidents in the Sidecar races on the Mountain Course last month.
‘It will be everyone's advantage and if it assists in getting an injured driver and/or passenger to hospital quicker, that is good.’
This year’s Southern 100 International Road Races take place on Monday, Tuesday 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th July.
