Island advocates join international organisation

by isleofman.com 4th July 2016
Corlett Bolton has been invited to join the Cicero League of International Lawyers, representing the Isle of Man at a global level.

With just one member from each jurisdiction, membership of the League recognises Corlett Bolton’s growth over the past 23 years and the reputation the firm has established. Not only does joining the League promote the Isle of Man on the worldwide stage, through their branches in Douglas, Peel and Port St Mary Corlett Bolton can also provide access to international advice and legal services to local residents and Manx expats.

The League meets twice a year in different locations around the globe to discuss and formulate professional and commercial ideas to assist member firms and their clients involved in international trade or services.

Sally Bolton, Director of Corlett Bolton, said: ‘We are honoured to be asked to join Cicero, which has a list of lawyers with fantastic reputations. It’s important that we champion the Isle of Man to those from further afield, while being able to offer the additional, and extremely valuable, international knowledge which we get from this network.’

The membership will also help to develop the company’s Invention Box offering, which is serviced through the sister company Corlett Bolton Administration Services (CBAS) and offers advice and protection for intellectual property.
