by isleofman.com 22nd June 2016
Microgaming’s Mega Moolah has created another instant millionaire, bringing a €6,355,463.98 pay day to one lucky player.

The mega jackpot was hit on Friday 17th June 2016 by a 27 year-old Casinoland player, Rawiri Pou. As with all Microgaming jackpots, he will receive the win in a lump sum, and not as an annuity.

Rawiri Pou, the jackpot winner, said: “I still can’t believe this is real, I’ve been in shock since I won and it is literally going to change my life. There is so much I want to do with this money and it couldn’t have come at a better time. My family are overwhelmed and so happy.”

A spokesperson for Casinoland, commented: "We’re all thrilled for Rawiri, it’s a life changing amount of money and we wish him the very best for the future. His huge win has shown that Casinoland has the games and jackpots to deliver mega wins and we hope that Rawiri is the first of many progressive jackpot winners here at Casinoland.”

Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network is the biggest and best in the industry, having paid out over €595 million to date, and holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the ‘Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’.

John Quinn, Head of Casino at Microgaming, added: “Mega Moolah and our progressive jackpot network continues to make the headlines. To be able to deliver frequent life-changing jackpots to our operators’ players is certainly a highlight of the job. Many congratulations to Rawiri and Casinoland on this mega win.”

This news follows the €6,905,670.81 jackpot won on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network just a few months back, in April 2016.
