JA team to pitch at ISLEXPO

Students mindful of mental health

There's money in mindfulness - and one team of Island Year 12 students is looking to prove it.

Mary Podmore and Alex Ollier from Castle Rushen High School created 'Free Your Mind' to help tackle teen mental health problems at source. 

The project has devised aids such as thought journals to help anguished youngsters process their emotions.

The team, which won Junior Achievement's Corporate Social Responsibility award in March, will put their business plan to a panel of investors in a 'Pitch It' session at IsleExpo next week.

Two other student teams who took part in JA's company programme will also present their ideas for setting up a business.
